Biden to Sign Land Sale Bill Spurring Growth in Clifton
The area of land pictured below will soon be available to be purchased by Mesa County which will then be able to put a plan together for commercial and redidential development which the area needs.
The federal land being made available to Mesa County to purchase is 32 acres. Its north border is Interstate 70, and the Government Highline Canal serves as the south border. The west border will be 32 Road, and the east border will be slightly past
32 1/4 Road. Mesa County Commissioner Cody Davis said there are no plans yet for an access road to the property, but it possibly could be from F 1/2 Road behind the Central Distributing building.

Two Arrested over Incident Involving Shot Cows
Two men allegedly opened fire on cattle late last month, killing two, one of which was pregnant, and wounding a third, which also was pregnant. The alleged shooting spree resulted in losses of more than $6,000 to the cattle’s owner — and, reportedly, in one of the suspects getting a black eye after he showed others a video of his alleged handiwork and angered them.

New Pizza Place Opens in Fruita
A new pizza restaurant has recently opened its doors in Fruita.
Over the weekend, the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Trailblazer Pizza Company, 456 Kokopelli Blvd. The location is the former home of Pablo’s Pizza in Fruita.
Brooklyn Reuwsaat and Caleb Umberger, the co-owners, previously worked at Pablo’s before taking over the pizzeria. According to a press release, the restaurant makes its dough fresh daily and “uses the freshest ingredients and preps their sauces, dressings and veggies daily to ensure the highest quality and taste.”

Broncos Head to the Playoffs
While this isn’t local news, as a life long Denver Broncos fan I have to highlight their season. They came ranked near the very bottom of the league with a rookie quarterback and a sad budget to work with. Vegas had their odds set at winning 5 games or less.
Here they are entering the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Tune in to their game against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo this Sunday at 11 am MST.
