Rainy Fall Weather
Seasonal Events on The Western Slope
I was on vacation the last two weeks and therefore did not send out a newsletter. Also, that has caused this week to be a bit light on content. Please submit news, events, etc. and next week we will be back on track!

🏡 Homeowner Tip of the Week: After the Record Rain
After all that rain, take a few minutes to protect your home! Clear gutters and downspouts, check for standing water near the foundation, and make sure your sump pump is working. A quick check now can prevent costly water damage later. 🌧️

Annual Book Sale
Friends of the Mesa County Libraries held their big annual book sale from October 15-18.
Thousands of books are available at the sale, as well as other things like CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks. Everything is available for a low price.
“Right now, new books tend to be expensive. The library can’t carry all of them. And so, it’s a way for somebody, particularly if they’ve got a special interest, that they can get as many as they want,” said Carolyn Ramsey, the Treasurer of Friends of the Mesa County Libraries.
The sale has been around in some form for at least 40 years. All the proceeds go to support activities at the library like Comicon and their summer reading program.
Business Highlight

Advanced Pest Sells to King Pest Solutions
I really try not to over promote our business through this newsletter but we acquired another local business and I wanted to share a quick story.
Joel and Julie Dibble of Advanced Pest Solutions decided it was time to retire and they wanted to sell their company to us. They received interest from another local competitor, but stated they would never sell to them due to ethics. However, they trusted us with their customers, their legacy, and everything they have built over the last 25 years.
My cousin and I (in the photo on the right) put customer experience and employee happiness at the front of everything we do. This has allowed us to grow quickly, develop an incredible local reputation, acquire several local competitors, and keep employee turnover extremely low.
If you ever find yourself dealing with pests, termites, or wildlife, we can guarantee we provide the best experience. Even our competitors trust us with their customers!
