News

Lululemon to open at the mall

While Lululemon may not be a local shop, it certainly benefits the local community! Consumers will now be able to shop for this popular brand in stores as soon as this Friday. The Grand Opening is right during the Holidays which means local stories and botiques that have set up in the mall will enjoy some extra foot traffic this holiday season!

Having some strong anchor brands in the mall is vital to keeping the mall busy and open for business. Since Covid, malls across the country have struggled to stay open. We are extremely lucky that ours has withstood the trial of the past few years and continues to be open for local shops as well as retail brands!

In the coming weeks, an important decision will be made regarding the closure of Nisley Elementary. If the board of education does decide closure is in the best interest of the district, new boundaries will be drawn to reroute students to Orchard Avenue Elementary or Fruitvale Elementary

If you run a non profit in the area or know somebody who does, encourage them apply through the county for financial assistance to spread positivity and necessary programs that our area needs.

A Very Busy National Signing Day

With fewer than 10% of all high school athletes making it to the next level, signing a letter of intent to participate at the collegiate level is a big deal. The Grand Valley had over a dozen student athletes sign on with colleges both locally and across the nation.

That’s all folks! I plan to add a lot to the newsletter as the weeks roll by but I need your help!

I have been spending so much time promoting this so people know about it that I had to skip adding some material due to time constraints. You can help in 2 MAJOR ways!

1- Respond to this via email and send in news tips, new business openings, events, and anything else you want the Western Slope to see. I will include as many relevant submissions as I can.

2- Spread the word! Share this newsletter with friends and family. Please post it on social media. If people are finding it, I can spend my time and energy on making it worth reading.

If you enjoyed this edition, share this link with others!

P.S. if you want to get your business in front of thousands of local folks, reply to this email and we can talk about our advertising options.
